The Self-Exploration Process
This morning you have had time to consider what things you have done, things you like, identifying your skills and things you are good at. Please reflect on your team activities and the answers you wrote down on your handouts and post about what you feel are your strongest skills and what skills you would like to improve on. These are some of the things that you will be taking into consideration when we start working with you on your career and educational planning worksheets next week.

I learned alot about my business self today. I learned that I like working with others and that it is important to me to be able to work with other people. I learned that my weakness is working outdoors and with hard elements. We also learned what job we would like to be in and what career choice we would like and be good at. I chose to become a business women and with hard work and practice I believe that I can acheive my goal.
ReplyDeleteI didn,t know the wide range of skills someone can have for different jobs. Career cruising is a good web site to get a start on making a career choice.
ReplyDeleteToday was fun. Made me think what i have been doing in the past, but what i have know i have all was like doing still the same. An animator, cartoonist, just in general an artist. my skills show what the strongest for me is Art it always have. I would need to fgo so school to inprove my skill to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteI think my strongest skills are math, history and science. Another strength I have is working with my hands. I have always wanted to be a miner. Today we went to a website called careercruising.com and one of my career matches was a miner. I think it would be a good job for me. As far as skills I would like to improve on, those would be reading and language. If I improved in those areas it would help me move up in mining and maybe allow me to become a foreman or supervisor.
ReplyDeleteI think today has been a learning experice for me.I learned more about what kind of job I want to do when I get do with my schooling.The excercises we done in class (writing papers on ourselves.) really opened my eyes up to see a broader horonizon to what life has to offer me for a career. The I also think my strongest subjects are reading. I hope all the Fridays to come are this interesting and fun learning.
ReplyDeletei learn more about what i can do and what i cant do and after doing the questions on the career cruising i learn that there are lot more thing that i would like to try one of them would be a horse trainer becouse i like to work with them
ReplyDeleteI have much interest in the subjects of art and writing as well as the mediocre office work most people have trouble dealing with. Though I do lack some in people skills, I can do my jobs well. I just wish what skills I do have were more marketable than what they are in this remote, limited area. (and sorry about the late post)

My strongest skill is science,social studies and also working with my hands,people,organization. my weekest would be mathematics. im gonna work on them to make it stronger.to benefit me in the future
ReplyDeleteI think my strong skills are, computer skills,being organized, and hands on. My week points are not having enough training in office skills.I now have any idea of what I need more training in to achieve my goals.
ReplyDeleteToday has been extremely fun and I've learned things I didnt know. During class we went on Career Cruising and did a servey on the things we like and don't like to do. I also learned that I Could be a Nanny, Coronor, a Vetenarian Technition and a Peditrition; just to name a few.
ReplyDeleteAS I have always knew I'm best suited for outdoor hands on work. I Also have found out that I may have a interrest in computers. They may not be the devil after all. I would like to thank James Blosser for all his help
